Millwall Set To Sparkle With New Gusbourne Multi-Year Partnership
Gusbourne, the Kent-based English sparkling wine producer, will become the Millwall Football Club’s Official Sparkling Wine Supplier.
Founded in 2004 and still based on its original estate in Appledore, Kent, Gusbourne has grown from a young, ambitious producer into one of the most decorated names in English wine.
The estate has been recognised extensively on the world stage, including becoming the first English wine producer to receive the Chairman’s Trophy at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC) – awarded for consistent excellence across its wines – alongside six gold medals and three ‘Best in Class’ trophies in the same competition.
Gusbourne’s prestige cuvée, Fifty One Degrees North, has achieved the highest-ever ranking for an English wine at international level, while the estate itself was named among the World’s Best Vineyards.
As part of the new partnership, Gusbourne wines will be stocked throughout hospitality areas at The Den, with Gusbourne sparkling wine served as the Official Welcome Drink in Club 1885, the club’s premium hospitality suite.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Gusbourne,” said Luke Wilson, Chief Commercial Officer at The Den.
“They’re a fast-growing, high-quality challenger brand that’s earned international recognition in a relatively short space of time, and that ambition is something we really admire and identify with at Millwall.
“This partnership is also a great fit with our wider hospitality strategy of showcasing and championing the best English produce wherever possible.
“With Gusbourne’s vineyard being just down the road in Kent, we’re proud to now be able to pair our premium matchday experiences, with the high quality and craftsmanship they are known for off the pitch.”
