Mondelēz International Announce New Partnership With Grenfell Athletic FC

Mondelēz International, owner of Cadbury, has launched a partnership with Grenfell Athletic Football Club.

Grenfell Athletic FC was formed just months after the tragic Grenfell Tower fire with the core aim of providing hope and giving back to families and individuals from the local community.

The team currently play in the Middlesex County League and attracts players in and around the North Kensington area where Grenfell Tower is located.

Cadbury is supporting the development of Grenfell Athletic FC and the inspirational work the club does within the local community.

This will include working with the club to develop bespoke and limited-edition Grenfell Athletic Cadbury chocolate bars, which will launch to mark the four-year remembrance date of the disaster. All funds raised through the sales of the bars will go directly to support the club and community initiatives.

Cadbury hopes to support Grenfell Athletic FC further throughout the partnership by donating key sponsorship assets, marketing, insight and sales support and bespoke product to continue to help build upon the success of the club.

Grenfell Athletic Founder and Manager, Rupert Taylor said: “What an exciting opportunity for our wonderful club. Grenfell Athletic FC teaming up with the best chocolate family the UK has ever seen.

“This partnership will help cement the foundations of our mission; our values are aligned which makes for a powerful synergy.’’

Nick Rogers, Senior Brand Manager at Cadbury added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Grenfell Athletic FC, a club that has helped support its local community through this amazing initiative.

“After Rupert recently inspired our entire marketing and sales team at our internal leadership conference, we knew we had to become partners. We look forward to supporting Grenfell Athletic in growing their club and help build future success both on and off the field.”
