Newly crowned Premier League champions, Leicester City have launched their new home kit for the 2016/17 season.

 

The City of Leicester turned blue in support of their team and now the Foxes and official kit supplier PUMA have unveiled the 2016/17 home kit the team will compete in as they look to defend their Premier League title.

 

For the first time in the club’s history the Leicester City home shirt will sport the iconic gold Premier League embellishment, reserved for the Champions.

 

Leicester City captain, Wes Morgan said of the new kit: “Yet again it’s a fantastic kit. They’ve used great colours, the material is fantastic and it really breathes, which is what you need when you’re out there on the pitch. I like the trim and the little subtle touches – it all adds to a fantastic shirt.

 

“It’s always great to see the fans wearing Leicester shirts. When you’re on the pitch and you look in the stands you see a big wave of blue shirts. It gives us a great feeling and it’s like having a 12th man.”

 

The 2016/17 campaign draws on the Foxes’ fearless attitude which has delivered great success for the club over the past two seasons.

 

From Football League Championship title winners and promotion to the Premier League, to the ‘greatest escape’ during the 2014/15 season, through to winning the biggest league in world football this week.

Leicester city are planniong a celebration at their home game against Everton on Saturday when the lift the Premier League trophy, becoming only the sixth team to do so.
