Raw Stadia Ready For International Expansion
Raw Stadia, a sports technology company, has been trusted by 3 Belgian investment companies, LRM, Noshaq and Leansquare and 1 American, Stadia Ventures, and raised 1 million euros in new investments.
Raw Stadia was founded in 2018 by Jan Stryckers and Reece Watson with the goal of providing professional sports teams the ability to monitor and optimise the impact of the surface on players’ performance.
“After a successful rollout and building a great customer base consisting of many football teams from the Bundesliga, Premier league, Jupiler Pro League and a few other major European leagues, we are ready for the next steps.” said Jan Stryckers, CEO and Founder of Raw Stadia.
“We are therefore very happy with the trust we have received from these partners. We already have some great projects in the pipeline to accelerate our growth.”
Internationalisation and expansion to new sports
Currently Raw Stadia mainly focuses on football. The platform and the tools are therefore optimised to suit those specific needs. “However, there are many sports in which the turf has a significant impact on player performance.” explains Jan Stryckers.
The platform and hardware will be adapted to serve other sports, which in turn offers many possibilities in terms of expansion and internationalisation.
He added: “At the moment we are mainly looking at the American market and more specifically at Soccer, Baseball and the NFL (National football League), the competition for professional American Football teams. In Europe we will be focusing on cricket, rugby and equestrian sports.”
Expansion of the team
The extra investments will also be used to expand our team. All these growth projects naturally require more manpower and expertise. “We are currently looking for a sales director who can help us with the international expansion and tapping into new markets, and for a product owner to prepare the product for the new sports.”
Backed by some strong partners, ready for the future
“Supported by some great established names such as LRM, Noshaq and Leansquare, we feel empowered to realise these plans for the future,” continued Stryckers.
“In addition, we are also very pleased to have been selected by Stadia Ventures, a leading American sports venture capital firm, to join their accelerator program. They are the ideal partner for us to enter the American market and can introduce us to a number of important parties.”
