Firefighters & Crown Sports Lockers to the Rescue
After a fire took place at the Wast Hills Training Ground in March 2023 due to an electrical fault, Birmingham City Football Club found themselves in need of new changing room facilities. Thanks to the heroic efforts of the firefighters, the team’s football kits were rescued from the training room, allowing them to play the very next day!
Birmingham City FC’s main contractor, Intex Projects, turned to us at Crown Sports Lockers, to help rejuvenate their football changing rooms and lockers. It’s safe to say, they were in good hands.

In January and February 2024, we carried out the Football Lockers and Changing Room renovation project at the Wast Hills Training Grounds. The work included refurbishing the changing rooms for the ladies’ first team, in addition to the development changing room.
The first team changing rooms now boast open football lockers with drawers below the bench units and hanging space with rails, providing ample room to store their kits and change of clothes. Secure lockable compartments keep their personal belongings safe, whilst upholstered top seat units, shower cubicles, washroom cubicles, and vanity units offer a touch of comfort and convenience.
As for the development changing rooms, they now feature modular units with lockable compartments, practical open storage, and handy coat hooks, all complemented by comfortable seat units.
