Salford City Fans Get Taste Of Hottest AwayDay

Salford City Fans got a taste of The Hottest AwayDay Helicopter Experience thanks to club sponsor, Fireball.

On Tuesday, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky Liqueur, alongside football legend Paul Scholes, declared that for one night only those woes would be forgotten, courtesy of Fireball’s Hottest AwayDay helicopter experience.

According to a recent survey, arduous away travel distances, late nights, extreme costs and extra time off work were stated as the most common reasons why football fans miss games.

This inspired Fireball to offer four lucky Salford superfans a shot at experiencing the game day they deserve, including door-to-door chopper transport for Tuesday’s match held at Newport County in South Wales, pre-flight and pre-game shots, and much more.

Launched via social media earlier in the week, to secure a spot on Fireball’s Hottest AwayDay helicopter Ammies fans had to follow along and engage on Instagram to have the chance of earning one of the coveted red-hot spots.

Lorenzo Farronato, spokesperson at Fireball, said: “Fireball is known for spicing up every experience, and we felt it was ‘high’ time the sweet cinnamon heat of our whisky was enjoyed as part of footy festivities.

“But we also know the match going experience isn’t always a party, especially for away games that often involve long journeys, late nights and high costs.

“At Fireball our fans always come first, and we endeavour to infuse more fun and mischief into the moments they share with us. Our Hottest AwayDay brought the heat to a midweek away game worthy of the Ammies.”

Paul Scholes, Salford City co-owner, added: “We wanted to show Salford City fans that we massively value their support both home and away, and want to make the game day experience as fun and special for them as possible.

“Thanks to our front-of-shirt sponsors at Fireball we’ve been able to do that in smoking hot-style with the Hottest AwayDay.”

A poll of 1,000 adults who watch the sport showed that 54% of football fans feel their matchday experience could be improved[1], with one in four feeling better scheduling of away games should become a priority for football’s authorities, while 29% feel a main priority from clubs should be greater travel support for fans traveling to away matches.

Among the main reasons why fans decide not to travel to live matches were expensive travel costs, lack of ticket availability, and distance to the stadium.

Fireball will continue to ramp up experiences for Salford City fans throughout the season.
