SeatGeek Italia will add to momentum of SeatGeek globally while focusing on arts and sports clients.

SeatGeek today announced the launch of SeatGeek Italia, as the ticketing technology company continues to grow its global footprint. Focused on the live events market, SeatGeek Italia will work with sports teams, as well as arts and music venues, to provide a best-in-class user experience.

Leveraging SeatGeek’s powerful SRO ticketing technology, teams and venues will be able to use tools like the rules based engine, dynamic pricing and a CRM oriented platform to better serve their attendees.

“Italy has one of the most vibrant arts scenes in the world, as well as some of the top sports leagues,” said Matteo Tradardi, Managing Director of SeatGeek Italia.

“With SeatGeek’s increased focus on the Italian market we are excited to help more fans attend the live events they love.”

As part of the launch of SeatGeek Italia, SeatGeek has now taken full ownership of TopTix Ribes, which comes along with an already impressive client base in Italy, including venues like the Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan and Teatro Comunale di Vicenza.

The future focus will be on extending the performing arts and music client base, as well as adding teams from the major sports leagues in Italy, including Serie A and Lega Basket Serie A.

SeatGeek Italia is yet another example of SeatGeek’s overall growth globally. The New York based company now has offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Israel, Netherlands and Italy.

SeatGeek’s SRO technology is already used by some of the biggest venues in the world. The National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys, the most valuable sports franchise in the world according to Forbes Magazine, use SeatGeek’s technology for their 100,000 seat AT&T Stadium, which hosts both Cowboys games as well as concerts and other events.

In the United Kingdom a quarter of the Premier League, including defending champions Manchester City, use SeatGeek’s SRO technology, as well as a large percentage of the West End Theaters.

In Israel, basketball league leaders Maccabi Tel Aviv B.C. use SeatGeek’s SRO technology for both their Israeli Premier League games as well as their EuroLeague games.

“SeatGeek has the most powerful technology in live entertainment. By investing more in Italy we’ll be able to help venues across the country attract more fans,” said SeatGeek’s CEO and Cofounder Jack Groetzinger. “We see the Italian market as a huge growth opportunity, as we continue to see momentum in SeatGeek’s other markets”
