Stoke City Celebrates 40,000 Community Connections In Impact Report
Stoke City Football Club has published its Impact Report for 22/23, celebrating 40,000 community connections and vowing to maintain the momentum during the upcoming campaign.
The report provides details of the many ways in which local communities benefitted from the work of the Club and its Community Trust throughout the year.
Chief Operating Officer Simon King said: “The achievements of the 12 month period covered by this report highlight the importance of our Club as a beating heart for the city of Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding communities.
“Our activities, in particular those delivered by the Stoke City Community Trust, have positively impacted the lives of thousands of local people and that’s something we can rightly be proud of.”
Bringing success stories to life in written, pictorial and video form, the Impact Report majors on acknowledging the contribution of the Trust towards health & wellbeing; education, employability & skills; and sport & community inclusion within local communities.
It also includes direct contributions from King – together with Chairman John Coates and Technical Director Ricky Martin – as well as reports that outline and celebrate the Club’s economic, social and sustainability impact and updates on fan engagement, Academy and the women’s game.
King added: “We hope the report can provide a real eye-opener regarding the positive impact of the Club and our charity, and how far beyond the football pitch that extends.
“From our players, volunteers, officials and staff to our sponsors, partners and fans, together we are all contributing to something huge and meaningful within our community, and that is what is captured by this report.
“It’s a case of communicating the bigger picture and saying, ‘this is what you are helping to achieve’. Long may it continue and expand.’”
