The FBA & USL Form Education Collaboration
The Football Business Academy (FBA) and the United Soccer League (USL) have entered into an agreement that will see the global leader in football business education and the largest soccer league in North America collaborate.
Headquartered in Tampa, Fla., with more than 80 professionals working in 18 functional areas of sport business, the USL oversees three men’s leagues (USL Championship, USL League One, USL League Two), two women’s leagues (USL Super League, USL W League), an elite player development platform (USL Academy), and a national youth platform (USL Youth), forming an ecosystem of more than 850 teams.
Thanks to the diverse skills, varied interests and extensive academic and professional backgrounds of FBA Candidates, they will be able to contribute to USL through internships and Student Business Projects.
For USL, this partnership is a chance to gain fresh ideas and international perspectives, complemented by the high-quality education that FBA Candidates receive during their Professional Master in Football Business studies.
“It’s with great pleasure that we officially welcome the USL into The FBA Family,” said, Kristian Dobrev, Deputy CEO of The FBA.
“Collaborations like these can unlock tremendous potential and, with the growth that the USL is experiencing, it’s impossible to ignore the need for knowledge sharing, human resources, and strategic development, and we’re extremely proud to be able to support them with that through the incredible talent, skills and ideas that FBA Candidates can bring to the table.”
This mutually beneficial relationship enables strategic collaboration on significant topics while ensuring a comprehensive learning environment for FBA Master Candidates.
Through internships and Student Business Projects, they will benefit while fostering synergies aligned with the league’s business plans and development strategies.
As USL aims to advance the game in North America, embracing best practices and contributing economic and sporting value to professional football worldwide, our Collaboration naturally aligns to fulfill these objectives within The FBA network.
Rachel Bukszar, SVP of People, USL, added: “The USL is pleased to collaborate with The FBA to provide internship opportunities to their students aimed at nurturing the next generation of soccer enthusiasts and professionals.
“Through mentorship opportunities and league office experience through internships, we envision empowering students to become leaders in the sport, whether on the field, in management, or within the broader soccer industry.
“Our combined efforts will not only benefit the students but also contribute to the overall growth and development of the sport, both locally and globally.”
The Football Business Academy is thrilled to join forces with USL to elevate football business education to new heights.
