How do you work with clubs to organise travel?
Sportsrooms is entering its ninth season working with topflight football teams to organise their travel and hotel stays, we very much work as an extension of the team. Our Account Managers are on hand 24/7 to respond to their needs and ensure everything is in place for the team’s trip, so all the team needs to do is focus on their performance.
Our club has a long list of requirements, how can Sportsrooms ensure they deliver them?
We work with every supplier to ensure that no stone is left unturned to deliver seamless and stress-free travel for the teams. This starts with ensuring we are sourcing the right hotel and travel for each match. We also complete a pre-arrival checklist that covers every element of the trip to make sure all is in place prior to the team’s arrival. Finally, for many teams, we can provide onsite support where our Sportsrooms team travel to the hotel prior to arrival to ensure that everything is set, and the team have a smooth and enjoyable stay.
What is an end-to-end service and why would a club require this type of service?
We pride ourselves on being able to provide an end-to-end travel service for teams, and we have vast experience in delivering this both domestically and overseas. We can source ground transportation, flights (both scheduled and charters) along with hotels to streamline the team’s travel processes. We can also support them in specific individual elements of their travel whether this is hotel stays, flights, or pre-season camps.

There’s a lot of focus on sustainability and sustainable travel. What is Sportsrooms doing in this area?
Sportsrooms launched ‘Green Team Travel’ last season which is an industry leading initiative to deliver carbon-neutral sports team travel. Sportsrooms works with its partners Carbon Neutral Britain to calculate and offset the carbon emissions from sports team travel programmes. In addition to this we make recommendations of how teams can reduce their carbon footprint for travel whilst being mindful not to impact performance. We are also proud to have partnered with Forest Green Rovers for three seasons which is helping us understand and share best practice when it comes to sustainability.
Do you have any other examples of how you’re working with clubs right now?
We work with clubs in the Premier League, across all three divisions of the EFL, and also National League teams. This broad range of experience allows us to cater for clubs across all budgets and requirement levels. Our client base includes Fulham FC, Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Derby County and many more. We pride ourselves on providing a bespoke service to all teams no matter their level or requirements.
