As a corporate member of WIF, the broadcaster will receive support that will contribute to the ambition to develop a gender-equal working environment across the industry.

This will include WIF’s wide range of services, including consultancy, workplace culture auditing, and places for female staff on the highly renowned Women in Football Leadership Course.

The partnership builds on an established working relationship with TNT Sports, including its participation in a group of broadcasters convened by WIF earlier this year to challenge online abuse targeting women in sports media.

Women in Football is a professional network comprising almost 12,000 members, and the leading organisation working towards gender equality in the sport.

TNT Sports reaches millions of viewers across the UK and Ireland with live coverage and on-demand programming that covers a multitude of football and sport, including the newly acquired Adobe Women’s FA Cup, Premiership men’s and women’s rugby, cricket, UFC, Australian Open and Roland-Garros tennis, Grand Tour cycling and the Olympic games.

The broadcaster, which is operated by Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) Sports Europe in the UK and Ireland, becomes the third major media organisation to join WIF’s Corporate Membership programme, in addition to Sky Sports and News UK.

Women in Football CEO Yvonne Harrison, said: “TNT Sports is playing a key role in making sure talented women receive the opportunities they deserve in the broadcasting industry.

“Joining Women in Football as a corporate member means we can work closely together to build on that good work and help to make sports media a truly gender-equal environment.

“I’m a big fan of their coverage and presenters, so it’s fantastic to welcome TNT Sports into the Women in Football family.”

Scott Young, EVP WBD Sports Europe, said: “We at TNT Sports have valued working with WIF and its member organisations over the last year to fight online abuse targeted at women in media. Collaboration is key across the industry to tackle the challenges that still exist for women working in football.

“Joining Women in Football supports our mission to celebrate and raise awareness of the fantastic opportunities that exist in football for all.”
