In collaboration with Gamechanger, Urban Zoo will be building the new York City website and delivering a next-generation digital platform for the club.

York City will now be joining an elite group of clubs and rights holders already working with UZ, which includes Everton, Aston Villa, Celtic and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), to name a few.

The new digital products will provide a better fan and customer experience, as well as launching a brand-new streaming service, which will allow international supporters to watch the club’s first season back in the EFL on a PPV, pay monthly OR Pay-per-season basis. This also includes audio commentary.

The new products will be built on Urban Zoo’s Gamechanger platform, providing the club with benefits of serverless architecture and unlimited scalability.

Speaking on the partnership, York City Media Manager, Ed Simpson, said: “We are over the moon to have teamed up with Urban Zoo, who specialise in sports web development.

“After the first meeting back in January, it became clear that Urban Zoo held the future for our digital platforms.

“They will provide supporters with a much better, clearer and more integrated digital experience. We are looking forward to the new products being launched in the summer.”

Urban Zoo’s Chief Customer Officer, Stuart Vose, added: “York City’s return to the EFL marks a hugely exciting moment for the club, and we’re proud to be partnering with them at such a pivotal time.

“From our very first conversations with the club, there was a clear ambition to deliver a best-in-class digital experience for supporters.

“Through our Gamechanger platform, we’re looking forward to helping York City engage fans around the world with a modern, scalable ecosystem that matches the club’s momentum both on and off the pitch as they prepare for life back in the EFL.”
