Over the past decade, they have collaborated on multiple projects for the benefit of their shared local communities in East London and Essex including growing the long-running Lyca Mobile Cup to include a standalone girls’ tournament.

Facilitated by the West Ham United Foundation, this tournament is now into its tenth year and continues to provide hundreds of girls and boys with the opportunity to play football and meet their Hammers heroes every year.

As part of the renewal, Lyca Mobile are working with the club on commercial initiatives and will continue to be seen across the perimeter LED system on matchdays as well as the club’s growing digital estate.

Nathan Thompson, West Ham United’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are delighted to have secured a further extension to our partnership with Lyca Mobile. I’m thrilled that this partnership has run into its second decade and this is testament to the shared values and ambitions of both West Ham United and Lyca Mobile.

“As the profile of our Women’s team continues to grow, off the back of a successful standalone girls’ edition of the Lyca Mobile Cup, I am also delighted to welcome Lyca Mobile to our portfolio of Women’s partners.

“Whilst we have achieved some fantastic things together, I have no doubt that the best is yet to come which will benefit our loyal fanbase.”

Richard Schäfer, Lyca Group CEO, said: “We are thrilled to have renewed our long-standing partnership with West Ham United at this exciting time for the club. As a business that has worked alongside the team for many years, it was fantastic to see them win their European trophy last season.

“But just as importantly, it has been hugely gratifying to support West Ham United’s charitable initiatives in bringing opportunities to local communities and young people in East London and Essex over the past decade.

“It’s great to see our partnership expand to include the Women’s team at such an exciting time for women’s football with the World Cup underway. I look forward to the opportunities this partnership can bring to our customers over the next few years.”
