WFS Drives Football Forward With Diversity & Inclusion At The Forefront

The eighth and final edition of World Football Summit (WFS) Europe in Sevilla has drawn to a close.

 

 

With 2,218 global football industry professionals in attendance, WFS Europe 2024 has solidified its position as the premier gathering for football’s most influential figures and decision-makers.

 

The second day featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including:

 

Elma Saiz Delgado, Spanish Minister for Inclusion, Social Security, and Migrations

Hammad Albalawi, Head of the Saudi Arabia FIFA World Cup™ 2034 bid unit at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation

Fernando Sanz, from the Yalla Vamos 2030 World Cup Bid

Jesús Navas, Spanish football legend from Sevilla FC

Giorgio Chiellini, Italian football legend and current Juventus executive

Lluis Cortés, Women’s Football Coach at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and former coach at FC Barcelona women’s team

 

These industry leaders offered bold, game-changing insights on topics ranging from women’s football development to bid strategies for major tournaments and the social impact of football.

 

It was the topic of diversity and inclusion that gained special relevance across the program.

 

Minister Elma Saiz Delgado highlighted that collaboration is the key element to drive change, stating: “Events like World Football Summit prove that, together, we can overcome any challenge.”

 

As the final edition in Sevilla, WFS Europe 2024 leaves behind a powerful legacy of fostering collaboration and driving positive change in the football industry.
