Which UEFA Football Teams Are The Best Of The Bunch?

UEFA, Union of European Football Association, represents the largest football club association in the world. It organises the biggest and most-watched club events in its UEFA Champions League and has produced some of the best and most historic clubs the world has seen.

Liverpool

The Reds, as they are popularly called, are the biggest and currently the most successful club in England with 43 trophies, one more than Manchester United, and endless bets placed on each of their football matches at major betting sites.

This season, they are ending the Premier League with a 22-point lead over their nearest rivals, Manchester City and are currently on an unbeaten run spanning 42 games since last season. They have won all but one game in the league, which gives them a 96%-win rate and are on course to defend their UEFA Champions League title and prepared to meet Atletico Madrid in the last 16.

This season, they have already won the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup trophies. They can only get better at this point. What makes them so good is their ability to grind out results while not necessarily being the best team on the pitch. A true testament of a top-level team.

Real Madrid

Dominance and winning are synonymous with Real Madrid. This is a club that has won it all and in high numbers too. They are the record holders in the La Liga with 33 championships, 13 UEFA Champions League titles and 4 FIFA Club World Cup trophies; their dominance has been such since the early 1950s, and it does not look like it will wane anytime soon. Their dominance was such that in the year 2000, FIFA awarded them the Club of the 20th Century, as well as the International Federation of Football History and Statistics awarding them the European Club of the 20th Century. The team also topped the list of top 200 European Clubs of the Century and are currently the leaders in the Spanish league.

Real Madrid has the best Defensive Record in the top 5 leagues in Europe, letting in 13 goals in 22 games, their past and present make them one of the top dogs in European football.

Manchester City

While the previous two clubs have a historical past and a glorious future, Manchester City is different. The Citizens, as they are affectionately known, have won the English Premier League four times and are the defending champions, as well as having won the FA Cup twice and the EFL trophy four times.

Man City have become permanent fixtures in Europe’s premier competition, the UEFA Champions’ League and hold the record for the most points in a Premier League season (100 points). This season, they became the first club in Europe’s top five leagues to reach 100 goals and have a mouthwatering Round of 16 which ties with Real Madrid in the Champions’ League.

Despite their shaky foundations, they have worked their way to the top tier of European football.

Mentionable Talents

These three UEFA football clubs are pretty much the best of the bunch. But of course many other impressive UEFA clubs in Europe cannot be denied a mention. This includes Barcelona, Juventus, Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain with similar records in this season and in previous ones.
