Women in Football Launch New Financial Empowerment Programme
Women in Football (WIF), the influential network supporting female professionals throughout the football industry, has announced a new partnership with Evelyn Partners, one of the UK’s leading wealth management firms.
Together, they are launching the Women’s Financial Empowerment Programme, a pioneering initiative designed to enhance financial literacy and wealth management knowledge among women working in football.
Through the bespoke financial education initiative, WIF members will receive direct access to Evelyn Partners’ financial planning and investment management expertise, with course modules aimed at empowering women to confidently manage their finances, grow their wealth and plan effectively for their futures.
The partnership will also provide income to enhance services to Women in Football members – which is vital for a non-profit organisation such as WIF – as well as expanding the potential reach of our members’ professional networks.
Yvonne Harrison, CEO of Women in Football, said: “As well as supporting employers in the football industry to develop a gender-equal workplace, collaborating with Women in Football can help organisations in other sectors to grow their visibility in and around the game.
“Our new partnership with the wonderful team at Evelyn Partners is a great example – and most importantly of all from a WIF perspective, it also offers our members access to some of the best-informed financial advice in the business.”
Adam Osper, Managing Partner at Evelyn Partners, who specialises in advising sports professionals, commented: “We are excited to launch our new Women’s Financial Empowerment Programme in collaboration with Women in Football.
“Women in the sports sector continue to grapple with huge inequalities in pay, training provision and post-professional sport pathways.
“As women’s sport continues to evolve – bringing increased athlete earnings and greater female representation across the industry – our decision to team up with a variety of major women’s sports platforms, enables us to not only equip players and female professionals with the financial knowledge and confidence they need to manage their money during and after their career but also to provide onward career pathways into the financial services industry.”
