Wrexham AFC Appoint New Chief Business & Communications Officer

Wrexham AFC has announced the appointment of Rob Faulkner as the club’s new Chief Business and Communications Officer.

 

 

Faulkner joins Wrexham AFC on 1st December from his role as Communications and Marketing Director of the European Club Association, the sole and exclusive body representing the interests of over 700 European clubs of which Wrexham is a member.

 

He will be responsible for all commercial and communications activities at the club. This includes sponsorship, marketing, partnership management, retail and merchandising, ticketing and hospitality, and communications. He will report directly to CEO Michael Williamson.

 

Commenting on the appointment, Wrexham AFC Chief Executive Officer, Michael Wiliamson, said: “I am pleased to welcome Rob to the Wrexham family. He brings with him more than 20 years of football experience including long stints at UEFA and Inter Milan, where he created the Inter Media House. 

 

“He has a wealth of international experience and a truly global outreach that will be vital as we move forward with our plans to grow the club’s domestic and international fan base.”

 

Rob Faulkner said of his appointment: “I can’t wait to get started in my new role at Wrexham AFC as Chief Business and Communications Officer. The club has been on an upward spiral for the past three years, driven by its inspirational owners and loyal fans. 

 

“I look forward to supporting its continued upwards journey both on and off the pitch, while keeping it firmly anchored in the hearts and minds of the local community.
