Elms Marketing is to become an Official Licensee of the EFL in a four year partnership with the organisation.
The agreement sees Elms Marketing become the exclusive supplier for the names, numbers and sleeve badges which will be emblazoned on the shirts and replicas of all 72 EFL clubs.
The EFL’s latest commercial agreement is the result of a competitive tender process that will see a new style of letters, numbers and Sky Bet EFL sleeve badges launched for the 2018/19 season. The new letters and numbers will feature on the kit of all EFL clubs in the Sky Bet EFL, Carabao Cup and Checkatrade Trophy as part of a two-year cycle, with an updated style being introduced for the 2020/21 campaign.
The licence fee achieved through the tender process represents a significant uplift for the 72 clubs and the logo of the EFL’s Official Charity Partner will again feature.
EFL Chief Executive, Shaun Harvey, said: “Elms Marketing were selected as our new partner having successfully come through a robust and competitive tender process. I am delighted to have them join us as an Official Licensee of the EFL.
“The ability to include the name and/or number of a supporter’s favourite player has become an important feature of being a football fan. I look forward to working with Elms Marketing to assist our clubs to further improve retail sales by incorporating a distinctive, eye catching design that is consistent across all 72 clubs, promoting the EFL Brand and Charity Partner.”
Elms Marketing Managing Director, Dr. Peter Gleeson, said: “Elms and the FlexDev Group are delighted to be chosen as the partner and official licensee for the names, numbers and Sky Bet EFL sleeve badges for the next four seasons.
“We look forward to supporting the EFL with the exciting ambitions during this period and supporting the clubs in delivering a unique quality product to players and fans alike.”
