Groups D and E complete their second round of games today, with qualification and elimination on the cards for more than one team.

Airton Risk, a division of Paddy Power PLC look at some of the facts for these games.

Italy v Costa Rica is first up, both won their opening games but still won’t be 100% sure of qualification even with a win today. Mario Balotelli has only missed 2 penalties out of 25 in his career but they were both missed in the last few months, he is 5.56% to miss one tonight. Midfielder Daniele De Rossi has had 8 Red cards and 89 yellow cards in his career. He is a 33% shot to get his 90th yellow card tonight.

Switzerland or France can guarantee a place in the next round with a win. Just Fontaine holds the record as the all-time leading goal scorer in a single World Cup with 13 goals back in 1958. Can Benzema maintain his 2 goal a game tally for the rest for the tournament in order to break it? He is a 15.38% to get another 2 goals tonight.

At the back France started off with a clean sheet and their media have nicknamed goalkeeper Hugo Lloris “Saint Lloris”. He is 43.48% not to concede a goal.

Switzerland’s Xherdan Shaqiri is only 5ft 6ins and has been nicknamed “the Alpine Messi” or “The magic dwarf”! He has played in Switzerland’s last 20 matches and they have only lost once. They are a 45% chance to not lose.

In the last match today Honduras and Ecuador will be looking for their first points in the tournament. Hondoras have never won a game in a World Cup Tournament (P7 D3 L4) but are 18.18% likely to win tonight and stop the rot.
