The news marks the start of an alliance focused on environmental responsibility, community impact and long-term regeneration.

The partnership with Veolia provides a platform for early engagement, ensuring sustainability and environmental best practice are embedded from the outset of Birmingham City’s vision for a Sports Quarter which will remodel the cityscape.

By working alongside Veolia, a global leader in ecological transformation, the club aims to develop initiatives that enhance environmental responsibility, inspire local communities and deliver lasting benefits for the region.

Gavin Graveson, Chief Executive Officer, Veolia UK and Ireland said: “We are excited to partner with Birmingham City Football Club at such a pivotal moment in Blues’ history.

“This partnership is an incredible opportunity to come together and make meaningful, sustainable change, for the Club, its supporters and the wider community.

“As Birmingham City’s Sustainability partner, we’re proud to bring our expertise in resource management, smart city innovation and local energy loops to support their ambitious plans for the club and the region.”

Jeremy Dale, Chief Executive Officer at Birmingham City Football Club, added: “We are delighted to welcome Veolia as our Official Sustainability Partner. This partnership marks an important step in our journey as we enter a transformative period for the club and the city.

“As we look ahead to the development of the Sports Quarter, it’s vital that sustainability, innovation and community impact are built into our plans from the very beginning.

“Veolia brings world-class expertise and a strong alignment with our values, and together we have a real opportunity to create meaningful initiatives that benefit our supporters, inspire local communities and deliver long-term positive change.”
