Blackpool FC Partner With ADI For New Digital Perimeter Solution
Blackpool FC’s Bloomfield Road will be home to a brand new digiboard digital perimeter system for the new season, thanks to a deal with digital stadium specialists ADI.
The deal will see ADI install over 250m of their new MTD digiBOARD product around the three camera-facing sides of the stadium. With a 10mm pixel pitch and an additional “crowd-facing” ribbon on the rear, the new digiBOARD system will ensure an upgrade to the fan experience and a boost for commercial partners.
As part of the deal, ADI will be recognised as The Seasiders’ Official Digital Display Partner. They will provide a fully-managed solution to Blackpool FC, with technicians onsite for each match and content will be managed and delivered direct from ADI via their Live Venue broadcast fibre network.
Blackpool are one of three new digiBOARD clubs currently confirmed, with Ipswich Town and Hibernian FC also due to take delivery of new systems this summer, and bringing the total number of UK digiBOARD customers to 31.
Claire Fitzgerald-Firth, Head of Engagement & Client Services at ADI, said: “As a Lancashire business ourselves, it’s great to add yet another North West club onto our digiBOARD network and we’re looking forward to working with Blackpool FC again.
“The features of our new MTD range ensure that it delivers exceptional value not just when purchased, but throughout the lifetime of the product. It’s this, along with the unique range of features that we offer as a manufacturer, installer, content creator and operator that has made ADI the natural choice for Blackpool FC.”
The Seasiders’ new system is from ADI’s new MTD digiBOARD family – a next-generation digital perimeter solution developed from the ground up and based around ADI’s experience of 25 years as the UK’s leading sports LED supplier.
This ground-breaking, modular solution is optimised for quality, reliability and flexibility, with features that deliver tangible improvements in lifetime value, whilst making servicing and maintenance far simpler.
MTD is available in a range of height options making it configurable and easily scalable for all stadium types and sightlines. Blackpool have chosen a 720mm system with a 10mm pixel pitch.
The system features ADI’s unique “Crowd-Facing” platform – a half-height LED ribbon on the rear which allows the club to deliver an additional stream of content targeted directly at their home fans. This helps to enhance the promotional package that the club can offer their local partners – a popular option amongst Championship clubs.
Jonty Castle, Chief Revenue Officer, Blackpool FC, added: “ADI’s pedigree speaks for itself and their ability to provide a complete end-to-end solution was a huge factor in our decision to partner with them.
“The integration of the new crowd-facing displays opens up additional opportunities to commercialise the platform and broaden our offering towards our official partners, sponsors and suppliers.”
