Camden Town Brewery Teams Up With England Ace Beth Mead

England’s UEFA Euro star player and Golden Boot winner, Beth Mead has partnered with North London-based brewery as the WSL season gets underway.

Camden Town Brewery has announced a new partnership with Lioness and Player of the Tournament in this year’s Women’s Euros, Beth Mead.

After watching Beth and her teammates score their way to victory, Camden honoured the professional footballer with a limited-edition beer, Goalden Mead Honey Wheat Ale.

100% of sales, which were matched by the brewery, were donated to the charity of her choice, Cancer Research UK.

The beer proved to be a huge success with football and beer fans so Beth will continue to work with Camden across the new season.

Beth Mead, Golden Boot Winner, said: “The Camden team have been so supportive, particularly over the past few months, and I’m thrilled to be working with them on some of their upcoming activity.

“I’m a fan of the beer and having my own name on a can for Goalden Mead was pretty surreal for sure.”

Holly Gibson, Head of Brand Activations & Experiences, said: “We are so excited here at Camden to announce the continuation of our Beth collab. Myself and the beer team are Arsenal obsessed, so we have loved watching Beth and the team this Summer.

“Seeing the impact this has had on Women’s football since is absolutely incredible. We want to see Arsenal Women playing at Emirates Stadium more so we hope to play a part in not only getting fans to the stadium but also creating an awesome atmosphere for those who join us!”

The partnership with Beth is the latest activity the brand has done to support women’s football at a community level and beyond.

In 2020, Camden and Arsenal created an all-female foosball table to raise awareness of the underrepresentation of women’s football in pubs and bars. The table can now be found at the Camden Beer Hall, taking pride of place ahead of a busy season.

In 2019, Camden joined forces with Camden Town FC to create a new football kit in celebration of inspirational women on and off the pitch.

With 100% of the proceeds donated to The Fawcett Society, the UK’s leading charity campaigning for gender equality, the kit was an ode to women all over the globe that have been associated with the borough of Camden.
