Mi Hiepa Scout I, the world’s first VR Talent ID and elite return to play platform.

Created as a joint venture by leading Manchester developers Mi and sports data experts Hiepa, the ground-breaking product will be rolled out to clubs around the globe from July.

“We created Mi Hiepa Scout as a tool that can be used by players at all levels, from identifying and engaging talent at youth and academy level all the way through to helping elite players through rehabilitation” said Adam Dickinson MHS’s development director.

Mi Hiepa Scout comes with four drill packs, each focused in a different area: Human Performance, Skills & Coaching, Cognitive Development and Rehabilitation.  The packs have been designed with assistance from several clubs, ex-players and leading sports medics.

“We feel we have created something completely unique,” said sporting director, Andy Etches.   “Having worked with sports technology for many years I’ve seen many solutions but there is nothing quite as focused, as portable and most importantly so immersive.”

The Mi Hiepa Scout platform is the first to use a proprietary whole body tracking system.

“Removing handheld controllers and letting footballers use their feet to interact with the drills is a key differentiator in our offering.  To get started players put on a pair of customised RDX pads and go through a 2 minute automatic calibration period” Etches added.

“As soon as that’s complete they’re on the field with the ball at their feet, perhaps at a specific point from Saturday’s game or dropped into one of the cognitive development drills – whatever their coach has instructed or loaded.”

The Mi Hiepa Scout platform needs no dedicated room and is fully portable; loading into a small flight case meaning easy transportation on tour, to a players home or to the other side of the training ground.

Mi Hiepa Scout is available for a small installation fee after which there are variable monthly fees depending on the level of customisation or number of drills.

The Mi Hiepa Scout team is currently touring training grounds all over the world giving demonstrations to interested clubs.
