Cove Rangers & Ticketco Form Ticketing Partnership

Cove Rangers have partnered with TicketCo to integrate COVID-19 safe cashless technology at the Balmoral Stadium.

Aberdeen-based Cove Rangers currently play in Scottish League One, the third tier of Scottish football, and its modern stadium can host more than 2,600 fans.

The appointment of TicketCo will help Cove Rangers simplify its supporters’ ticket purchasing journey, improve their match-day experience and to help the club develop commercially.

Using a QR code sent direct to their smartphone once a ticket has been purchased, the code can then be scanned at turnstiles by stewards.

The TicketCo platform will also be used by Cove Rangers to sell and manage its new membership scheme called the CRFC Club 1922. The membership scheme allows loyal supporters to receive exclusive benefits and discounts and become a major part of the club’s journey this season.

Keith Moorhouse, Chairman of Cove Rangers, said: “We are delighted TicketCo have agreed to help us take this important step in the modernisation of how our club operates.

“This partnership allows us to improve the user experience for our supporters when making purchases, whether it be match tickets or securing membership to our recently launched ‘CRFC Club 1922’ scheme. The obvious appeal of the system provided by TicketCo is that it is easy to use, modern and will help us to grow commercially.

“I would like to thank everyone at TicketCo for their support and agreeing to become one of our partners in what we regard as a key service for our supporters.”

David Kenny, UK Country Manager for TicketCo, added: “We’re proud to have partnered with Cove Rangers, a club committed to modernising its ticketing system, commercial department and improving fan engagement via technology.

“We’re working closely with the club to help them enhance the fan experience, improve club operations and grow commercial revenue.”

TicketCo’s technology is designed to make event payments quick and easy for both organisers and consumers, thanks to its pioneering technology. Its platform also offers pay-per-view live streaming and video on demand functionality.

TicketCo has offices in Norway, the UK, and Sweden. It has partnerships with several football clubs, including Kilmarnock, Clyde, Wycombe Wanderers and Solihull Moors. It also supplies digital ticketing and payment solutions to the top two Norwegian football leagues via a five-year league level agreement with Norsk Toppfotball.
