We also offer semi-permanent HVM solutions for football stadia, racecourses, and events that occur in the same location multiple times a year but don’t require round-the-clock protection or a permanent installation. In these cases, a semi-permanent product works well to protect pedestrians from the threat of a hostile vehicle incursion on event days, which can then be removed from its permanent foundations/ sockets on non-event days – but easily reinstalled when the need arises.

Our capabilities also include permanent HVM installations for city centres and Publicly Accessible Locations (PALs), where year-round protection is required due to consistently higher risk level and continuous pedestrian presence. Permanent installations are also more in-tune with their surroundings, so they must be both aesthetically pleasing and deliver tested, certified and rated levels of protection from the threat of a hostile vehicle attack.

Project Management Capabilities

One of our most recent projects was for Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture. The city had been undergoing an extensive regeneration project in advance of the year-long celebrations and programme of events that are scheduled to take place throughout the year.

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (MDC) was undertaking a significant regeneration of the city centre environment and its transport infrastructure. A key element of this is the pedestrianisation of the city centre, and the desire to keep its population safe from the threat of hostile vehicle incursions.

To ensure the proportionate specification and delivery of appropriate HVM solutions to the newly pedestrianised spaces, Bradford MDC engaged Crowdguard as their Hostile Vehicle Mitigation partner.
