England March On, So Do Woody & Kleiny For Prostate Cancer UK

As England secured their place in the last 16 and a game against Mexico in the iconic Azteca Stadium, Woody & Kleiny, one of the world’s biggest entertainment creator duos with more than 50 million followers and 47 billion views, are now more than 8,000 miles into their 15,000-mile bus tour across America.

Streamed live 24/7 on Kick and TikTok, In A State has already generated millions of views across social media clips, with audiences following every challenge, surprise and unforgettable moment on the road.

While England’s progress has provided the backdrop, the purpose of the journey has never changed.

Inspired by the prostate cancer diagnosis of Darryn – the father of their lifelong friend and manager Darryl Stewart – the tour is raising awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK, encouraging more men to understand their risk and start conversations that could save lives.

Now past the halfway point, In A State has become far more than a football tour, using one of football’s biggest summers to shine a spotlight on a disease that affects one in eight men in the UK.

Along the way, Woody & Kleiny have also become regular guests on American television, introducing local audiences to both the tour and the campaign’s mission. As the tour has gathered momentum, it’s also attracted some familiar faces from the worlds of football, sport and entertainment.

Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson and BBC Radio 5 Live commentator John Murray raised £6,000 for Prostate Cancer UK by taking on the Paddy Power’s Woodywork v Kleiny challenge in Atlanta.

In New York the pair spent a lively evening with David Bentley and met Eddie Hearn at the weigh-in for the Jaron Ennis v Xander Zayas world title fight. The bus has also welcomed actor Clive Standen and former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, who spoke openly about his own prostate cancer diagnosis.

Every Mile Has A Purpose

Behind every challenge, livestream and mile travelled is one goal: raising as much money as possible for Prostate Cancer UK.

Alongside Woodywork v Kleiny, Men’s Health fitness challenges and The Nightcap every evening have encouraged conversations around wellbeing, friendship and the importance of talking more openly.

With England’s knockout journey continuing and around 7,000 miles left to travel before reaching the final destination in New York, Woody & Kleiny believe the biggest moments and fundraising opportunities still lie ahead.

Supporters can continue to follow every minute of the journey live on Kick and TikTok, watch daily recap episodes across YouTube and social media, and donate to Prostate  Cancer UK via the campaign’s GoFundMe page – https://www.gofundme.com/f/WoodyandKleiny

Woody & Kleiny said: “This tour has been everything we’d hoped for and so much more. Every city has had its own personality; every day has brought something we never saw coming and the support we’ve had from football fans and local communities has been incredible.

“But we’ve never lost sight of why we’re here. It’s about using football to get more people talking about prostate cancer and raising as much money as we possibly can for Prostate Cancer UK. If someone watching checks their risk, starts a conversation with their dad, brother or mate, or donates to help fund research, then every mile we’ve driven has been worth it.

“England are still going, we’re still going and we’ve got some huge plans for the second half of the journey.”

Seren Evans, Senior Head of Mass Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, added: “This epic tour of the USA has been filled with so many side-splitting moments as Woody & Kleiny experience the highs and lows of life on the road. But there have also been poignant and inspiring conversations as they’ve shared their platform with men affected by prostate cancer.

“From the inspiring survivor stories of taking on the world’s toughest marathons with Kevin Webber, to talking about masculinity and Black men’s risk with former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, Woody & Kleiny have given their millions of fans a wake-up call to think about prostate cancer and so many inspiring reasons to support Prostate Cancer UK.

“Through a host of challenges including Woodywork v Kleiny with PaddyPower, and through fan support, they’ve raised over £21,000 for Prostate Cancer UK. This money will go towards groundbreaking research, like our once-in-a-generation TRANSFORM screening trial, lifesaving campaigning and vital support services for men living with and after prostate cancer.

“We can’t wait to see what the second half of the tour has in store for them and how much more they can raise for the cause. Come on Woody & Kleiny and of course…come on England!!”
