Everton is set to host the World Corporate Cup of Soccer in May.
Goodison Park will be the venue for the ninth World Corporate Cup of Soccer this summer, with teams from organisations across Europe competing to be crowned champions.
The football festival, which takes place from 20-22 May, boasts teams from Vodafone Romania and Athletic Club Bilbao in Spain, plus local companies Shop Direct and Exedy Clutch Europe.
The World Corporate Cup of Soccer will kick-off at the fun-filled SuperCentre Celebration event where teams register for the competition and will finish with the Closing Awards, where the winners are congratulated and awarded. This year the event coincides with the Emirates FA Cup Final, so participants will also enjoy a screening of the fixture as part of the festivities.
The event is the ultimate festival of football and friendship and the ideal opportunity for team building, to reward employees and client networking.
Ben Sedgemore, Games Director said: “We considered a number of football grounds both in the UK and overseas, but having visited Goodison and taking into account the appeal of Liverpool as a host city in previous years, we were unanimous in our desire to work with Everton to deliver the World Corporate Cup of Soccer this year.”
There are six-a-side and 11-a-side competitions for men, women and over 30s and entry is open to organisations of any size, with companies able to enter more than one team.
The World Corporate Cup of Soccer is part of a series of ‘Play on Pitch’ events which Everton is holding at the end of the season, where businesses have the opportunity to book an exclusive session to play at Goodison Park.
There are a limited number of ‘Play on Pitch’ packages still available. For more information please call the Partnerships Team on 0151 530 5246 or email chris.humphreys@evertonfc.com.
