FIGS Donation Kickstarts Community Giving Campaign In Celebration Of EitC’s Birthday

The month of February will see Everton in the Community celebrate its 36th birthday and Official Club Partner FIGS has donated £20,000 to support the life-changing work of the charity.

The upcoming home game against Crystal Palace on Monday 19 February will be the charity’s designated birthday fixture and will see Everton in the Community staff and volunteers lead a mass fundraising drive to raise vital funds to support their mission to build brighter futures and stronger communities across Liverpool City Region.

The generous £20,000 donation from FIGS will kickstart Everton in the Community’s fundraising drive and in addition to this, the direct-to-consumer healthcare apparel and lifestyle brand aims to engage fans and supporters in fundraising to benefit the important work being done by the charity. In order to encourage donations from the fan base, donors giving £5 or more will be entered for a chance of winning tickets for you and a guest to experience hospitality in the 1878 Brasserie. The winner and a guest will enjoy a three-course meal before watching the Blues go head-to-head with the Eagles from prime location Main Stand seats.

All funds raised from the charity raffle will be used to support the most hard-to-reach and most-in-need members of our local community and help Everton in the Community tackle societal issues such as inequality, health disparities, educational attainment, poverty, mental health and unemployment. Your £5 donation will make an impact: it would help us provide a Diabetes test to support an individual with early detection. £10 helps fund a group session around managing anxiety with a mental health professional. £50 goes towards Everton in the Community offering a heart check service to identify any irregularities or to run a reminiscence workshop to someone living with dementia.

FIGS’ generous donation is just one part of its backing of the Club’s charitable arm to benefit local healthcare causes. FIGS’ support of Everton in the Community kicked off with a series of complimentary health screenings made available to supporters ahead of the recent home game against Aston Villa and will continue with support for medical professionals as well as a focus on mental health awareness in May.

FIGS was founded with the mission of celebrating, empowering and serving healthcare professionals, and has a long track record of using philanthropy to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare community they serve. The donation to Everton in the Community represents FIGS’ continued efforts in supporting local healthcare initiatives and the healthcare professionals serving their communities.
