Highest Scorers In The Dutch Eredivisie

The Dutch Eredivisie is continuing to amaze Europe. With great talents being pouched by wealthy teams year in, year out, the league is indeed growing. Super strikers are groomed in the Dutch league. The current Champions League top scorer is from the Dutch Eredivisie.

 

 

Sébastien Haller

Born in Ris-Orangis, France, this Ivory Coast international has taken over European football. Sébastien Haller is lthe leader in the Eredivisie League and the Champions League. This Ajax forward has ten goals in the current Champions League season and has netted 12 times in the Eredivisie League. The 27-year-old is not new to banking goals. The striker has had a great career in the Europa League. He also has a good record in the Second Bundesliga and Eredivisie in past seasons. He has played for other teams including, Eintracht Frankfurt and Utrecht.

 

Bryan Linssen

The Dutch winger, Bryan Linssen, is the second-highest scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie. With a height of 170 cm, this Feyenoord player has touched the back of the net 11 times. The 31-year-old was born in Neeritter, Netherlands and has scored double figures for years. The player has played for several teams including Vitesse, Heracles Almelo, and Groningen.

 

Guus Til

Feyenoord has another player among top scorers in Eredivisie. The young player has netted ten goals this season. Guus Til was born in Samfya, Zambia. The 24-year-old played for Feyenoord rivals AZ Alkmaar and is among the hottest goal scorers from Africa.

 

Loïs Openda

This Belgian striker is level on goals with Feyenoord’s Guus Til. They both have ten goals, earning them a slot on the list of highest scorers in the Dutch Eredivisie. Even though Openda has never been a top scorer in any league, he is on fire this season. The 21-year-old has started cementing his place in the best net shakers list.

 

Jesper Karlsson

We have Jesper Karlsson at position five. The Sweden International has maintained his hot streak from where he left off last season. Karl Jesper Karlsson had memorable 2019 and 2020 seasons in the Allsvenskan before joining AZ Alkmaar. He was among the top scorers. The former Elfsborg player was born in Falkenberg, Sweden, and has six caps for his national team.

 

Ricky van Wolfswinkel

The veteran 32-year-old shares position five with Karl Jesper Karlsson. They have eight goals to their names and seem ready to add more. He has never been the leading scorer in the leagues he has played in but had good numbers. The top leagues that have seen the best of Ricky van Wolfswinkel are the Primeira Liga, Super League, Europa League, and Eredivisie. The striker was born in Woudenberg, Netherlands, and has two caps for his national team. This player has played for other outfits including, Vitesse, Basel, Sporting, Vitesse, and Utrecht.

 

Cyril Ngonge

At number seven on this list of goal machines, we have Cyril Ngonge. The 21-year-old Belgian plays as a winger or striker. Even though he has never been among the top twenty goal scorers in any season, he already has seven Eredivisie goals to his name. The Groningen player was born in Uccle, Belgium.

 

Dani de Wit

Another player with seven goals is Dani de Wit. The 23-year-old midfielder has been on the top scorers’ list for years but never ended the ultimate winner. Born in Hoorn, Netherlands, the AZ Alkmaar player seems to continue his fine form in front of the goal.

 

Dusan Tadic

Dusan Tadic is another notable name with seven goals. The Serbian talent was the top scorer in the Eredivisie during the 2018/2019 season. He plays as a forward and an attacking midfielder. Tadic was born in Backa Topola, Serbia. The veteran footballer has 82 caps for Serbia, yielding 18 goals. He has also been the third top scorer in the Champions League and netted notable goals for Twente before joining Ajax.

 

Henk Veerman

There are several names on this list with seven goals including, Henk Veerman. The Netherlands international has never emerged as 5ye best top scorer but has been among top scorers in the Eredivisie and Second Bundesliga. He was born in Volendam, Netherlands on, 26 February 1991.
