Huddersfield Town Appoint Rupert Campbell As Non-Executive Director

Huddersfield Town have confirmed the appointment of former President of adidas North America Rupert Campbell to their Board as Non-Executive Director, effective immediately.

 

 

Campbell spent almost a decade with adidas in two separate spells, working across markets in Europe (United Kingdom, Germany, Russia) before leading their largest global region as President of adidas North America, officially leaving that post at the end of 2023.

 

Highlighting his experience across strategy, brand, partnerships and commercial both internationally and operationally, Campbell led the company’s efforts at the 2018 FIFA World Cup before delivering the largest sponsorship deal in their North American history with Major League Soccer in 2022.

 

He also playing an integral role in driving the biggest brand campaign in US football history as Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami in 2023.

 

Campbell also has considerable experience overseeing community initiatives, underlining his commitment to being a fierce advocate of inclusion at all levels within the workplace and wider communities.

 

Arriving with a blend of sport and consumer experience across international business, he is an important strategic additional to the Board of Huddersfield Town.
