In Focus: CI Group – Liber App – Test And Trace
fcbusiness speaks to David Watt, CEO of CI Group about the development of their Test & Trace system – Liber App – for the sports and events industry.
Football clubs face a tough start to the season with fans still excluded from the stadium. Despite the growing optimism in August that there may be a return to in some form by October, those plans have been rocked with a huge spike in coronavirus across the country as fear of a second wave of cases emerge forcing the UK Government to impose new restrictions on the number of people allowed to meet in groups and a review of the many test events lined up in the coming weeks.
In order to manage the safe return of fans to the stadium environment, clubs have spend thousands on ensuring they are compliant with the latest guidance set out by the government and the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA).
An most important factor to ensuring the long term safety and welfare of fans is Test & Trace. The CI Group, an events and digital marketing services organisation, has developed Liber, a free app available in the Apple and Google stores designed specifically for the sports and events sector.
By bringing together test & trace technology and data the platform allows fans, and the people around them, to know they are in a COVID-free space, making experiences safe for all to enjoy.
