Move Sports Welcomes KV Mechelen Back For Winter Training Camp
KV Mechelen returns for second consecutive winter training camp after winning last year’s Belgium Football Cup.
For the second consecutive year, Move Sports hosted the Belgian professional team KV Mechelen for their winter training camp in southern Spain. A year ago, Move Sports had hosted the team as they prepared for a demanding second half of the Belgian Divison B championship.
The result was positive, as KV Mechelen went on to win the competition and moved on to the top tier of Belgian football in the current season. What’s more, they went on to win the Belgium Cup that year having previously won the Cup back in the 1986-87 season.
Once again, taking advantage of the winter break in the Belgian league, the team turned to Move Sports to organise the perfect training camp for them.
The team consisting of 30 players, 19 staff members and 3 team officials spent a full week in January, in Valencia,southern Spain, for a meticulously organised training camp in the warm Mediterranean winter weather.
KV Mechelen team members stayed in a premium hotel packed with sports infrastructures: from official-sized football pitches to a fully equipped gym and a pool. Move Sports also made sure the training camp was challenging, arranging two friendly but demanding matches against Germany’s Bundesliga side, Cologne FC and Netherland’s Eredivisie team, AZ Alkmaar.
These friendly matches provided a great opportunity for the team to try out new tactics, before going back to their league to put the lessons learnt while in training to the test.
