SCL & Pulse Premier learners travel to Europe this Thursday: A football and education trip like no other.

Having secured funding from Erasmus+; the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport, SCL Education Group are launching their first vocational project, boosting skills and employability through the opportunity to study, train and gain work experience in Europe.

Turning their attention to developing international opportunities for their young learners, the leading providers of education through sport will be sending 40 learners from their Pulse Premier Football Academy, accompanied by 10 members of staff, to Sportilia this week, as they embark on a football and education experience like no other.

OPPORTUNITY

The two-week trip will see 40 learners travel to Italy this Thursday, to experience European training facilities and technique, whilst immersing themselves within an environment where the values of conditioning, psychology, speed and skill are paramount.

Strengthening their CV with work and educational experiences, this once in a lifetime opportunity will allow learners to develop their skill through professional coaching sessions with Italian FA Coaches, before facing Italian opposition in a series of two competitive 90-minute matches.

Learners will then have the opportunity to take the reins, putting their training and studies into practice, to deliver a programme of football coaching sessions to local Italian youth players.

In addition to developing their footballing and coaching skills, learners will take part in Italian language and cooking lessons, as well as cultural trips, allowing them to experience new social and cultural practices within a European setting.

EXPERIENCE

Home to SCL learners and staff for the duration of their two-week stay, Sportilia; the multi-purpose sports training centre, based near Bologna, in the North of Italy, is visited each year by professional and amateur athletes from across the world.

Providing the young learners with a true insight into the world of professional sport, Sportilia houses professional facilities for both indoor and outdoor training, as well as its very own hotel, restaurant, medical centre and meeting facilities for theoretical learning.
