Sheffield Wednesday Signs SeatGeek As New Ticketing Partner

Sheffield Wednesday Football Club has announced a brand new multi-year deal with SeatGeek, which will see the global ticketing company, known for its innovative mobile-focused approach, become the club’s official primary ticketing partner from the 2020/21 season and beyond.

 

Following an exceptional period of growth in the UK sports market over the past few years, the new signing means that SeatGeek is now ticketing nearly 40% of all English Premier League and EFL Championship football teams.

 

One of the oldest football clubs in the world, Sheffield Wednesday selected SeatGeek as its new ticketing partner after an extensive review of the UK sports ticketing marketplace and will use SeatGeek’s innovative SRO ticketing platform to modernise its systems, providing a much more fan-friendly experience, whilst also delivering increased functionality across the club’s back office operations.

 

Sheffield Wednesday’s hospitality operations will also see significant enhancements, with the new ticketing platform enabling the club to offer corporate hospitality packages online.

 

The new ticketing partnership will be rolled out in time for the start of the 2020/21 season. Fans should immediately experience a much-improved online customer journey, with the new SeatGeek technology offering much-needed mobile and tablet friendly ticket buying experience.
