Southampton Appoints Phil Parsons As New CEO

Southampton Football Club has announced the appointment of Phil Parsons as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer. 

Parsons will join the club at the start of July from the pioneering technology company Dyson, where he has spent 15 years in a number of senior leadership roles.

Phil will oversee all aspects of the club’s strategy and operations, working closely with Sport Republic, and will sit on the Board of Directors of St Mary’s Football Group and Southampton FC.

Southampton FC Chairman, Henrik Kraft, said: “I’m delighted that Phil has agreed to join the club as our new CEO.

“He brings with him a wealth of experience in senior business leadership roles for one of the most recognisable and innovative companies in the world and will bring new vision and a fresh approach to the day-to-day running of our business operations.

Phil Parsons, added: “I am delighted to be joining Southampton FC as the new CEO. 

“The owners have been extremely open with me, sharing their learnings and challenges from last season, and importantly their bold and ambitious goals for the future.

“I am attracted to the project, to bounce back stronger and rebuild, with a clear focus to get the club back to the Premier League. 

“Together as an organisation, we will do the best we can for the fans aiming to move forward in all areas. I look forward to meeting fans and people associated with the club over the next couple of months.”
