Southend United Launch New Digital Platforms
Southend United will launch a new club website and mobile app ahead of the 2023/24 season kick off.
Following an end to the club’s affiliation on the EFL Digital collective and an extensive consultation process, the club are partnering with sports technology experts Urban Zoo to deliver a brand-new website and improved mobile app,
The new platforms will launch at the end of July.
Rhys Ellingham, Southend United’s General Manager, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Urban Zoo as our new website partner ahead of the 2023/24 season.
“Urban Zoo are already well established in the football sector with numerous clubs, and their website/mobile app platform will be a great addition as we look to grow our digital output.”
The club’s Media and Marketing Manager, Matt Mundy, commented: “This has been an exciting project to work on so far and we’re looking forward to working closely with Urban Zoo on their Gamechanger platform both now and in the future to develop a user-friendly and dynamic website.
“The launch of the new web/app underpins a commitment to drive forward the club’s digital strategy and increase content for fans.”
