Spitfires Extend TicketCo Partnership To Simplify Supporters’ Matchday Experience

National League football club Eastleigh has agreed a new multi-year partnership with TicketCo to provide supporters with easy-to-use cashless ticketing.

The Hampshire based club was one of the first teams to partner with TicketCo when it launched its cloud-based platform for efficient event payments and online broadcasting in 2018.

Spitfires’ fans have been able to purchase tickets whenever and wherever they wish for three seasons via TicketCo’s website and mobile app. The platform helps clubs take the first step in adopting a cashless future by sending QR codes to supporters’ smartphones which can be scanned at turnstiles.

Tom Coffey, Operations Director at Eastleigh Football Club, said the club decided to extend its deal due to TicketCo’s good communication and reliable service plus fans’ positive feedback.

He added: “TicketCo is painless and very easy for everyone. Our supporters have adapted to the technology extremely well because of its simplicity.

“TicketCo is rapidly growing in the UK. Like Eastleigh FC, they are ambitious and confident at what they do. We’re very pleased to have agreed a new term and to continue to provide our supporters with digital ticketing.”

Tom also explained how partnering with TicketCo has helped to cut down on unnecessary matchday queues outside the ticket office and improve fans’ matchday experience.

Almost all tickets are now purchased by fans online, which enables club staff to work with greater efficiency and cut out laborious ticketing responsibilities such as printing and posting.

“We’ve noticed a big difference on matchdays concerning queues outside the ground,” said Tom. Fans have been going straight to the turnstiles which saves them a significant amount of time.

“We still take sales on the day for fans who prefer to purchase paper tickets, but we are shifting our fanbase to our online option. It has improved the matchday experience for supporters and made everything work better.”

David Kenny, Head of Global Partnerships at TicketCo Media Services, said extending Eastleigh FC’s contract is testament to the reliability and simplicity of digital ticketing.

“We are thrilled to see Eastleigh FC extend its partnership with TicketCo,” said David. “Helping sports clubs introduce simple cashless technology to their stadiums is a real pleasure.

“Better still is when clients renew their agreements because of the service they have received. Eastleigh FC has invested time wisely to gradually convert its fanbase from purchasing tickets physically to digitally and the club is now reaping rewards on matchdays by cutting down on queues and simplifying fans’ ticket buying habits.

“Everyone at TicketCo would like to wish Eastleigh FC the very best of luck for the upcoming season.”

TicketCo is a cloud-based event payment and online broadcasting company, with offices in multiple territories. It works with National League football clubs including Solihull Moors, Altrincham FC, Oxford City FC, Welling FC, Tonbridge Angels and AFC Telford by providing digital ticketing.
