Sports Management Degree Students Presented At Camp Nou
ISDE, Northumbria University and Barça Hub Universitas presented the Sport Management Degree BSc (Hons) at an event at Camp Nou.
FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, welcomed nearly 100 attendees in person and many more by streaming at Camp Nou.
The event, aimed at both a national and foreign audience, will welcome students from all over the world on to the programme which was opened by Montse Pintó, Executive Director of ISDE Barcelona, and Adriana Ros, Director of Admissions at ISDE Barcelona.
Both gave an emotional welcome to all participants, students and professionals involved and interested in the presentation of the BSc (Hons) Sport Management degree, recalling the close and long-standing relationship with FC Barcelona and the Barça Innovation Hub.
The latter, involved in the training of future professionals in the sports industry and collaborators in the Master in Sport Management and Legal Skills, bring to the programme all their expertise and one goal: to professionalise the youngest from practice.
Renowned lawyer Juan de Dios Crespo, a specialist in sports law and director of the programme, who has participated in such important and mediatic matters as the ‘FIFA case’ or Neymar’s farewell, recalled: “When I was young I would have liked to have the opportunity to study a degree like this and now many will have the opportunity.”
Victoria García, ISDE’s director of undergraduate admissions, said: “As director of admissions, the responsibility is very great because we must detect those candidates who are at the height of the institutions that collaborate in this programme.
“They must meet academic and linguistic requirements, but above all they must want to turn their passion into their profession. At ISDE “we will train them to be the best.”
Montse Pintó, executive director of ISDE, added: “The objective is to train in the world of sport from practice, and from values such as honesty, a virtue, but also a working tool because honesty transmits confidence and confidence makes us indispensable.”
