This morning TicketCo launched TicketingPodcast.com as an independent, standalone initiative with the sole purpose to engage and promote the unsung heroes of spectator sports and the event industry – the ticketing managers.

“After having recorded this first season, I have to say that our guests have delivered more great stories and valuable insights than ever I dared to dream of when we started to plan this initiative six months back,” says TicketCo’s CEO Carl-Erik M Moberg.

He is hosting the podcast, and for the first season he is joined by these six guests:

Chris Parkinson: Head of Ticketing, Burnley FC

Mikkel Bjerre: Ticketing & Customer Service Manager, F.C. Copenhagen

Georgia Bekyra: Senior Manager – Ticketing, Everton Football Club

Peter Wynne: Head of Tickets & Memberships, Wrexham AFC

Aamir Javaid: Head of Ticketing & Disability coordinator, Birmingham City FC

Paul Williamson: Director, Two Circles

Each guest stars in two episodes; one main episode for an industry expert audience and one shorter bonus episode for the general audience.

“The unsung heroes of the spectator sports and events industries are the ticketing managers. But who are they? Where do they come from? What are their well-kept industry secrets? This is what TicketingPodcast.com is determined to reveal,” says Mr Moberg.

“We see that there are enormous amounts of insights out there, but no easily accessible channels where these insights can be shared. So, we made one ourselves.”

The TicketingPodcast.com is powered by TicketCo as an independent, standalone initiative. The entire first season is now live, with almost six hours of content in total, and the planning of the next season has already started.
