USG Appoint Steve Hitchen As Director of Football

Unique Sports Group (USG) has announced the appointment of Steve Hitchen as the company’s first ever Director of Football.

Hitchen joins USG with nearly two decades of experience in football talent identification and has held senior positions at an array of top-flight football clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Queens Park Rangers and Derby County.

 

Having worked on a number of high-profile transfers, Hitchen’s most recent role was with Tottenham as their Director of Performance where he spent more than five years and worked alongside some of the world’s best coaches including Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino.

 

Throughout his decorated career, Hitchen has operated at the very highest level in world football – identifying and working with some of the brightest talents in the game.

 

On the appointment of Hitchen, Chief Executive Officer of Unique Sports Group, Will Salthouse, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been able to secure the services of someone as experienced and as well regarded throughout the industry as Steve.
