Arena Seating, part of Arena Group UK & Europe, has been helping clubs of all sizes to improve their facilities for over 50 years, has been nominated for ‘Best Business Serving Football – over £2million turnover’ in the Football Business Awards 2017.

Arena Seating’s contribution to the football world has been recognised with the FBA announcing the company’s finalist status in the competitive award category.

Arena Seating’s products are currently being used at more than 200 clubs across the UK. The Football Business Awards ceremony is to be held at Tobacco Dock, London, on the 2nd of November.

Katy Atkins, from the Football Business Awards, said:

“The quality of entries has been outstanding with some fantastic displays of creativity and innovation, setting the benchmark for all those working in the industry.”

Arena Seating has worked across the UK in Wales, England and Scotland from their Wiltshire base, overhauling grounds and installing bespoke permanent and demountable stands. They have provided grandstands to Premier League Clubs such as Manchester United, Everton and Swansea City. They have also supplied smaller football clubs such as Hungerford Town where they helped the club prepare upgraded facilities, at short notice, for a crucial FA inspection.

In 2016 they worked closely with Bristol Rovers to upgrade the Memorial Stadium; having enjoyed two successive promotions, the club wanted to be able to meet the demand for tickets their recent success had generated without outlaying huge sums of money knowing they would one day be moving to a new home.

Dave Withey, sales and marketing director of Arena UK & Europe, said:

“We’re hugely excited to be nominated for this award. It reflects all of the hard work and dedication we’ve seen from our teams at football grounds across the country working to design and install our wide range of temporary products. We ensure that clubs are getting the most cost-effective solution to suit their requirements with our trusted range of seating products supported by our in-house seating professionals, CAD designers and engineers.”

Arena Seating has nearly 30 varieties of temporary and semi-permanent sports stands, all of which are compliant with the Green Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, a crucial requirement for clubs as they rise through the leagues.
